(Men & Women)
In 1853, Bavarian born Levi Strauss opened up a Dry Goods company in San Francisco. He noticed a need for clothes built to endure 'anything' for the hardworking people around him. Twenty years later the first pair of waist overalls were manufactured by Strauss and tailor Jacob Davis combining copper rivet reinforcements with tough denim. Those waist overalls are what we now refer to as "Blue jeans"
Inventing blue jeans was just the beginning of how Levi Strauss pioneered a brand of true originals. What started off as as invention for the American worker became widely recognised as the uniform of progress. Worn by miners, cowboys, revels, rockstars, presidents and everyday men and women, the functionality of these pieces is what made them iconic - people not only worked in their Levi's, they live their lives in them too.
Authenticity has been a pillar in the construction of Levi's since is origins. They want their jeans to be the purest wearable form of authentic self expression; to bear the markings of life, the shapes of bodies and the memories of adventure.
